The Flat File Daily Holiday home booking Calendar is a quick and easy way to put an availability calendar onto your website which shows daily booking periods. After purchase, you will be sent a link to download package which contains files and instructions on how to get your calendar up and running as quickly as possible. The calendar has multiple setup functions to help you design the best calendar look and functionality for your site. The demos below give you just a few ideas as to how you might setup your calendars.
The calendar is installed on your own webspace and will work for you at a one-off cost for years and years to come, showing availability and prices, and taking email booking enquiries.
You can use the script as many times as you want on one domain. Just create a folder and a set of scripts for each new calendar you need.

Demo 1

The standard "out of the box" calendar showing a year grid. New to version 4.5 is the diagonal background colours to show booking start and end dates and changeover days. We have setup a price of £100 British Pounds each day, but you can select from most of the other main currencies. We can add a new currencies if you wish. The calendar adds up the price for the selected dates as you click them. Quite clever, we think ! |

This calendar shows an alternative view with monthly blocks. On this demo we have setup several special price reductions. We have decided that the calendar will not take daily bookings but will default to Weekly bookings starting on Saturdays, Midweek Monday-Thursday nights and 2 types of weekend booking. You can also create your own special booking periods from within the calendar admin. There is a dropdown to select the booking mode, and there is an ifo icon which shows the special prices. |

This demo shows the admin area for the calendar where you can change main settings, prices and availability, and save a backup of your data. |

This demo shows a different view of the main calendar used when you don't want to take bookings. The booking button has been removed from the calendar. You can also setup a calendar to hide prices altogether and this is what we have done in this example, somewhat minimalist ! |

Many owners have lots of free availability at the start of the season. This demo shows a different view of the main calendar which hides availability. The user has to select dates and click through to the next page to see if dates are free. This calendar has a minimum booking stay of 7 nights. |

What the Calendar does
Asks user for preferred dates
User is given a total price figure for the dates selected and an
amount needed for deposit (if set)
User fills in a form with their details
Email sent to client together with payment details.
Email sent back to calendar owner with details of booking request.
Calendar can be auto-updated from link on this email.
Technical Stuff

calendar software is written in Perl

calendars prefer to be installed on Linux servers
 The
software is available immediately after purchase via a download. There

We
can install the calendar onto your webspace for a small fee. We can
normally do this 24 hour of purchase but often much quicker.
We
do calendar installs every week. We've seen most problems before, so
